The New York Fashion Week September 2026 schedule is set: the Spring/Summer 2027 collections run from Thursday, September 10 to Tuesday, September 15, 2026 (New York time), across six days. The CFDA’s American Collections Calendar carries 70 runway shows and presentations, with roughly fifty more collections held by appointment, as extended presentations, or digitally. Read straight through, the NYFW September 2026 schedule opens fashion month with a house comeback at 09:30 on day one, and ends it six days later with the designer who chairs the CFDA showing at home again.
Two things give this edition its shape. The first is a rule: September 2026 is the first New York season under the CFDA’s fur-free policy, which applies to every brand on the official schedule. The second is a mark of respect — the Friday programme starts at 10:00, an hour later than the rest of the week, for the 25th anniversary of September 11th.

The shows to watch
Diane von Furstenberg — Thursday, 09:30. Henry Zankov’s first collection as artistic director, and the house’s first runway show in roughly a decade. The 09:30 slot on day one is the most exposed position on the entire calendar: every editor in the city is rested, and there is nothing else to compare it to yet.
Proenza Schouler — Thursday, 12:00. Rachel Scott’s second collection for the house, following her debut in February. Her brief is the hardest kind — take a label defined for twenty years by two founders and make the seams read as hers.
Tommy Hilfiger — Thursday, 14:00. Back on the official schedule, from a brand with a long record of turning New York infrastructure — Grand Central, the Staten Island Ferry — into a set.
Michael Kors Collection — Friday, 10:00. The first show of the Friday, and therefore the first show after the week’s one-hour pause of observance.
Calvin Klein Collection — Friday, 15:00. Veronica Leoni continues the rebuild she began in February 2025, and the mid-afternoon Friday slot is where American minimalism is normally judged.
Khaite — Saturday, 19:00. Catherine Holstein takes the evening hour on the busiest day of the week, thirteen shows deep.
Carolina Herrera — Monday, 18:00. Wes Gordon closes the daylight portion of the calendar’s strongest single day.
Luar — Monday, 19:30. The only 19:30 on the schedule. Raul Lopez has spent several seasons making the downtown evening slot the most watched hour in New York.
Sabyasachi — Tuesday, 16:00. Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s first appearance on the official NYFW schedule — an Indian couture house entering the American calendar at the top of the final afternoon.
Thom Browne — Tuesday, 17:00. The CFDA chairman closes the week in his own city.

Public School New York takes 20:00 on opening day, one of the more talked-about names on the Thursday sheet.
The debuts and firsts to watch
Sabyasachi (Tuesday, 16:00) is the headline first-timer. Conner Ives (Saturday, 12:00), who built his audience in London, shows in New York for the first time. Magda Butrym (Sunday, 15:00) moves across from Paris. Zaldy (Sunday, 21:00) takes a late slot on the official calendar.
Also new to the official schedule: Benjamin Seidler, Grey’s by Emily Grey, High Sport by Alissa Zachary, Hikari no Yami by Jakarie Whitaker, Max Esmail and Patrick Taylor.

Who is missing from the September 2026 calendar — and why
Ralph Lauren shows on Wednesday, September 9, one day before the official opening — a familiar position that gives the house the whole news cycle to itself. Coach, Rachel Comey (marking the label’s 25th anniversary), Cult Gaia, Libertine and J.Press also show on the 9th, off-calendar.
Marc Jacobs stayed off the September sheet entirely, having premiered his Spring 2027 collection early, on June 29, 2026.
Willy Chavarria holds no slot on the official schedule this season — the most conspicuous single absence, given how central his shows have been to the last several New York editions.
Six houses take the digital route instead of a physical show: Hervé Léger, High Sport, Jason Wu Collection, N. Hoolywood, SC103 and Tadashi Shoji.
